Like you would think that this of all things would convince people that we need to get rid of the Missouri Plan and the way we pick our judges at the supreme court appellate level.

Um, but I don't...

Like- Even with people that are upset with this, I'm not convinced that if you... 'Cause it has to go to the ballot, and like anything you go to the ballot, like I, I can't...

So I think this is just my own speculation, my personal opinion.

There has been a movement to get rid of the Missouri plan and the push for court reform.

And

I think this is giving lots of supporting evidence to say, yeah, see, this is the problem.

We need to reform the court system.

The Missouri plan doesn't work.

Now, I don't want to speak too definitely on this because I don't feel like I know enough, but the claim is that we have a liberal court and we've been getting liberal justices because the Bar Association has gone liberal.

They put forth the list of possible judge nominations or appointments.

Oh, because what's gonna happen is their normal enemies are gonna seize on this, and they're gonna start a court plan fight.

Right now there's a thing called the Missouri Plan.

I think it actually serves the state extremely well.

But let's be honest, it is something that generally Democrats have valued and Republicans haven't.

If it's a 10-, 12-, 15-seat majority, which, you know, I would say that looks like the way things are trending, if he can't get gas prices back to what he was able to in his first term and earlier this term, I don't want this to be that big a deal.

I think the real lasting thing is the way our judges are picked is called the Missouri plan.

Other states have copied the Missouri plan, adopted it.

It's highly successful.

I think it actually does a pretty good job, if you want the truth.

But Republicans, there's a faction of them that have always wanted to end this plan, and they want to directly elect judges like they do in other states.

I think the end result of this will be a renewed push to put that back on the ballot.

Now, I don't think at the end of the day the voters kicked the plan out, but I think what you will see is a ton of commercials on KCMO next summer or two summers from now debating the pros and cons of the Missouri plan and whether it should be kept.
