Mission Underground

For so many of us, Paul's music helped shape the foundation of the scene that we know today, and what's remarkable is that he's still finding ways to revisit that history and bring it into the present.

His new album, Mission Underground, does exactly that, reimagining a collection of classics for a new generation of listeners, and I was incredibly honored when Paul invited me to contribute to two of those tracks, our interpretations of the Grace classic "Orange" and "Not Over Yet." So it's a real pleasure to welcome him to the show today, showcasing Mission Underground and plenty more.

Let's hand things over to the legend himself, Paul Oakenfold, taking control of the Global DJ Broadcast guest mix.

[upbeat music] Neon-pour streets orange from the scene.

Don't you want me? Don't you want me? Don't you want my love? Don't you want me? Don't you want me? Don't you want my love? Don't you want my love, yeah.

For the past half hour, you've been in the mix with Paul Oakenfold here on The Global DJ Broadcast.

His new album, Mission Underground, is out now, featuring collaborations with Argy, Ferry Corsten, Daxson, and of course, our work together on Orange and Not Over Yet.

Make sure you explore the album and add your favorites to your own personal playlist.

New music from Ummet Ozcan, Madrax, Henner Lang and The Rocketmen, Energy 2000 with Yorck, and my brand-new single with Funk Tribu.

Hour number two, we're joined by the legend who started it all, Mr. Paul Oakenfold, showcasing his Mission Underground album from our new and upgraded club.

But we kick off the show with a brand-new Above & Beyond.

Turn it up for "Nights Like This." Make some noise!

[laughs] That's amazing.

It's great to have you here again, with a good reason, of course, because you just released an album.

Um, it's called Mission Underground.

Tell us a little bit more about the story and the title of the concept.
