Mission District

Finally, and unrelatedly, animal rescuers in San Francisco are trying to identify the origins of a mystery marmot believed to have hitched a ride into the city.

The Urban Wildlife Rescue there said on social media that the marmot, a rodent approximately the size of a house cat, was found this week in a Mission District backyard.

And it says here, marmots are famous for climbing inside car undercarriages, drinking radiator fluid, passing out, and waking up in faraway places like San Francisco.

Let's go to the marmot.

So I had a nonprofit studio in the Mission District.

And I was taught by somebody who was in charge of the, um, Japan town had a festival every year, like a cherry blossom festival.

And there was a person who designed and made those screen, those, those posters every year.

Yes.

So Reality San Francisco, we are located in the Mission District of San Francisco, right in the heart of San Francisco.

It's been a church that's been here in the city for the last 16 years, but I've been on staff and pastoring here for the last 13.

And so I joined very new into the story, but have found my calling and vocation really come alive, serving and pastoring here in a city that is very unique, but one I didn't actually set out to move to or reside in or serve or fall in love with the people here.

what I'm saying is that's just as true in the Latino community though, dude, right? Like my primos, bro.

I'm not going to say what county they come from, but they come from some shit little county in California and they go from that little town to fucking the mission district in San Francisco and back.

And that is their worldview.

They have never been on a plane.

So here's the thing.

The mission district in San Francisco is, That district has more people than this entire fucking county and more diversity.

I think like 1% Latino and like 0.4% other ethnicities that aren't fucking widows.

I get what you're saying, but I'm just saying that that same thing exists, right? Because the Mission District may be multicultural, and now it's becoming an Asian district, right? So the way the Mission has worked was back in the 50s and 40s, it was an Irish district.

Only 20 of those admitted to the hospitals have died since their admission.

An intense fire broke out late this afternoon immediately west of the Mechanics' Pavilion, threatening to destroy one of the most thickly populated residence districts of the city.

Amy has also done several residencies, including at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga and Kala Arts in Berkeley.

In the 70s, artist David Ireland bought a house in San Francisco's Mission District.

He stripped the wallpaper and sanded the surfaces before coating the floors, walls, and ceiling with a high-gloss varnish.

Ireland came to see the house as a sculptural and artistic endeavor.
