Miss Ohio USA

I attended Bedford High School, where I edited the newspaper, was an honour student, a cheerleader and prom queen.

I worked at Higby's department store, studied at Cuyahoga Community College and in 1986 was crowned Miss Ohio USA.

I was the first runner-up in the Miss USA contest that same year and placed sixth in the Miss World pageant.

I moved to New York and was cast in Spike Lee's Jungle Fever before playing Eddie Murphy's love interest in the romantic comedy Boomerang and Sharon Stone in the Flintstones movie.
