This is all really well documented in a documentary that came out in 2013, I believe, called Mirage Men.

Heavily features Doty because this was basically him coming out, becoming supposedly a whistleblower about all this.

And Doty has since very much entrenched himself within the modern UAP UFO disclosure movement research, which is very controversial.

They ruin themselves almost always, right? You need people that are diluted in these types of roles.

For example, remember in the documentary Mirage Men, they talk about how they profiled the people that would be the disinformation operatives to spill out what the military industrial complex and the military itself wanted said about the alien phenomenon.

And so they would pick these ridiculous narcissists who thought that they were chosen, they were special, The alien delegation has chosen you, Bob Moore, chosen you, Bob Lazar, chosen you, Linda Moulton Howell, to be the representatives to give a voice to the people of what's actually going on with the great alien covenant that we're making.

Only a ridiculous, narcissistic...

Another interpretation is that it was U.S. activity that was occurring at these sites, and there's some very intriguing data that suggests this could have been possible.

In fact, in the film Mirage Men, I remember there is a sequence where the filmmakers sat down and they had an audio conversation with Kit Green, the former CIA scientist.

and they're playing portions of the audio in the documentary, and Kit talks about a circumstance a number of years ago where some friends in the intelligence community called him up, and they said that they were playing UFOs, and what they meant by this apparently was that they had helicopters with bright lights hooked up to them, and these low-noise helicopters would be flown into various locations to mimic the appearance of a UFO sighting.

Some of the descriptions in the documents released by the National Military Command Center and other sources and obtained through FOIA request and detailed in the book that I mentioned earlier, Clear Intent by Barry Greenwood and Lawrence Fawcett, they do describe objects that generally in their appearance and in their maneuvering are consistent with helicopters.

He was a former Air Force special investigations officer.

In a deeply unsettling documentary called Mirage Man, Richard Doty comes forward and flat out admits that his specific taxpayer funded job in the 1980s was to actively infiltrate UFO conspiracy circles.

And the geopolitical objective behind this was brilliant in a deeply cynical Machiavellian way.

Explain that.

I think it's the least likely possibility.

He actually did get a visitor that spooked him, but it was sent by Chrisman as some sort of like, I don't know, like Mirage Men style psyop, if you've ever seen that documentary.

Uh, either because he had ran into a secret military project or just as part of some larger psychological experiment.

And the other possibility would be that he and Crisman knowingly made this story up to give it more flavor when it was published by Raymond A. Palmer.
