We have...

The Russians that are there, MINUSCA, the EU, Rwanda has deployed there since 2020, and that's all kind of supporting the government.

And then on the opposition side, the rebels, we have the Coalition of Patriots for Change, other groups such as the NPC, the PRNC, the CMSPR.

So a large swath of groups for our listeners who aren't tracking the developments in Qatar I mean, what is the civil war looking at right now? Is it a low-intensity conflict? Is it still a high-intensity conflict? And what are the major areas of fighting that you see right now?

So for the civil war in Central Africa, of course, you have a lot of different prisons.

For the military side, as far as prisons, you only have Russia, basically, Rwanda, which sent troops a few years ago, and the UN mission, MINUSCA.

Wagner acting as a mafia, like I said, they kind of have to work together because they are in an operation zone, so they can talk with the Mnuchka on a daily basis.

And regarding the civil war itself and the swarm of this small army group in the country, I will say since the start of this conflict, They made a lot of progress in a good way, in a way that doesn't threaten anymore the surviving regime in Bangui.

It needs to be renewed, but the U.S. has already said that its future support for that mission could be contingent on the mission meeting certain benchmarks that the Council has established.

The mission in the Central African Republic, MINUSCA, that also needs to be renewed in November because it expires then.

But already we see that the um the council um with strong um support from the us has has been advocating for the mission to transfer responsibilities to the to the authorities and the u.n country teams and and has been calling for reductions of the mission's troop strength so they're really there's really a series of developments on undergoing with respect to several peace operations that entail either streamlining them or shutting them down.

How the council chooses to approach these mandate renewals coming up in the second half of the year.

There are others as well, but these three, you know, Minerso, UNISFA, especially, and MINUSCA, those three.

But I think this will be something to watch for and also how the council chooses to respond to and the wider UN to the peace operations review that should come out shortly.
