Now, the last fisheye that the company made was way back.

in 2006 with their 16mm f2.8 for Sony A mount, which was actually an existing Minolta lens design when Sony bought that mount.

The company says that they made this new lens with photographers and videographers in mind and that it features the world's most compact design for a lens

like this.

So we're going to move on to a lens that Jordan reviewed, and it has been, we talked about this last night, it was actually, wait a minute, Sony never made one of these for E-mount, but it has been even longer than that, actually, since they've made one at all, and arguably they didn't even make that one.

20 years ago was the last time Sony had a fisheye lens that was first party, but it was a rebranded Minolta lens.

Which was even older.

But now we finally get it, a fisheye for Sony E-mount.

But most of them are pretty consistent, 11 to 12 days.

Well, I ordered, my last one had, I got a Minolta Alpha, the 9XI, which is one of Anthony's favorite SLRs.

Really, really cool, higher end, autofocus Minolta SLR.

Isn't it nice? Yeah, I haven't shot it yet, but it's really fun to

hold.

You know, it's got that sort of like 90s swoopy Porsche design kind of feel to it.

Was that Konica

Minolta? It was still 90s.

And I wanted that camera.

It was a Minolta SRT 201.

And yes, I still have that one too.

And it was $200 on the thing, 199.99. And I had 200 bucks on me.

You know, we did the thing about the Konica 2A.

And what was really interesting about that is learning how much history Konica had as a brand and how much potential Konica Minolta had.

And then how, off the rails it went you know what i mean so it's like you don't want to see that happen at pentax and and rico's doing great because rico has the gr series that's their niche they do well but what's happening to pentax right and and i think that company really needs some assistance it needs a totally different direction it needs a big influx of cash to do that it's got very talented people there and it's got such a long history and i feel like yeah there's some moves they could make that they're not making i'd want to be a part of that

We both agreed on it.

I think we're going to take a bit of a zag here.

Minolta, this is where their autofocus system, they were head and shoulders, especially in the consumer level above everyone.

And they moved truckloads of cameras that decade.
