Minnesota Frost

No doubt.

You wouldn't have conflict in an NBA game six championship.

Right.

You wouldn't have that problem.

I think tell me more.

I think about the Minnesota Frost.

You know, I think about players like Heisey, Kendall Coyne, Schofield, like the speed, but also the grit that those players have as well.

I think, you know, just in general, Minnesota Frost, they play aggressive north-south skating style, relentless on the forecheck physicality.

I just love their balance between they have a lot of players that are creative and also, you know, they allow them to lean into this creativity a little bit.

They're not so regimented, but they're gritty.

And that just it that speaks to me so far about Rosalie's game, just that balance of relentless on the puck loves to, you know, you know, show off her finesse here and there and put pucks in the back of the net.

I think Minnesota Frost would be a good fit.

Speaking of you, Dante, we're sitting up the rest of the year.

The Minnesota Frost, the ladies hockey team here.

Kendall Clooney, she's going to miss the season due to pregnancy.

So congrats to her and her family on that.

One more piece of PWHL news.

Two-time Walter Cup champion, Minnesota Frost captain and four-time Olympian, friend of the show Kendall Coyne-Scofield, is taking this season off as she's pregnant with her second child.

We'll see if the new little one eventually gets the chance to sit in the Walter Cup post-win like her first child, Drew.

Congrats, Kendall and husband Michael.

It's Thursday, October 29th.

And on today's show, we're skipping the need to know and getting straight to my conversation with reigning Olympic hockey champion and Minnesota Frost forward Taylor Fox, who you likely know as Taylor Heisey.

Your girl got married over the summer, and she now has a new last name on her jersey, so watch out for that on the ice.

I caught up with Taylor earlier this week before Team USA took the ice for their first exhibition game against rival Canada.

Joining us now, she's a forward for the reigning Olympic champion U.S. women's hockey team and the Minnesota Frost of the PWHL.

She played her college hockey at the University of Minnesota, where she won the Patty Kazmaier Award as the nation's best player in 2022.

And somebody else said of Connor Halibut being traded to Winnipeg or being traded to the Devils that maybe he's playing 3D chess because he's going to where Jack and Luke are.

And Quinn has not signed an extension in Minnesota.

So do we think that he's just going where Quinn is going to end up? And how funny would that be for the Devils to have all of the Hughes brothers and Connor Hellebuck? I mean, look, I think it's...

Fine overall, like the trade is just fine.

One, two, three, four Canadian teams to...

American teams in the Eastern Conference.

And on the Western Conference, we got the PWHL Detroit, PWHL Las Vegas, the Minnesota Fros, PWHL San Jose, the Seattle Torrent, and the Vancouver Golden Eyes.

On the contrary, five USA teams in the Western Conference, one Canadian team on the Western Conference.

And then there was only one US team remaining.

It is time to talk all things Minnesota Frost on this edition of the PWHL Seasons in Review.

Let's go Frost Nation and talk everything Minnesota from preseason, regular season to the postseason and find out if we're three-time champs or our two-time championship run is all we're going to get this season.

[chanting]

Welcome in to PWHL Season in Review.

It's been a little bit, and a lot has happened as we prepare for the twenty-twenty six/twenty-twenty seven PWHL season.

But we still have two more teams to talk about, three more if you count today's edition, with the Minnesota Frost now becoming an elimination mode of the elimination category for the PWHL.

But for three straight seasons, count them, one, two, three, the Minnesota Frost have been in the regular season, they've been in the postseason, and they've played their preseason like champions.
