But yeah, I'm glad I was able to see both games and it didn't really affect me that much, but I'm sure it was not the same way for most people.

Yeah, I know there was a suite full of Gopher fans on Saturday night, or Saturday afternoon in the end, and I think quite a few of them could not stay Sunday.

And I know we all know that the back of the paper ticket says subject to change, but you don't really expect that in hockey at all.

You know you're kind of getting into that when you go watch a baseball game outdoors, right? Whereas hockey, this is a...

Immediately.

And I think, obviously, there's a fine line there between cheating to get it back and causing issues, knowing that you can at least muck it up and not let them control it and get a chance to get it back.

And I think, for the most part, what, four or five of the periods, I thought they did a really good job of... knowing where that line was and not crossing it and constantly pressuring the Gophers and getting the turnovers further up the ice than I'm used to seeing them.

It felt when you lost the puck in the Joe Sean era, you were falling back and defending instead of realizing like the...

You know, that really gave me the in door to, to college hockey, and I already loved it growing up.

You know, going to all the Gopher games growing up with my dad in Minnesota here, and getting to see all these historic, now, you know, college hockey programs in person was so cool to me.

The atmosphere is different than going to an NHL game.

So that's where the love started.

But you know, they're getting credit in college.

But it's constantly applying band-aids to, to keep going, right? So that, that's what it is.

For those that don't know, James and his crew are coming to MTU opening weekend against the Minnesota Gophers, so we're pumped.

And when did you kind of realize that Everything College Hockey can be bigger than just a social media page? You guys have gained so many, so much traction over the years and been able to go to so many cool different colleges.

You know, that really gave me the in door to, to college hockey, and I already loved it growing up.

You know, going to all the Gopher games growing up with my dad in Minnesota here, and getting to see all these historic, now, you know, college hockey programs in person.

It was so cool to me.

But before we do that, let's catch up on one news item that came out after we recorded last week.

And that's the first six players named To the team that will compete at the Spangler Cup, the U.S. Collegiate Selects, they named their first six, three defensemen, Tyler Dunbar, Ty Hanson, Evan Muir, excuse me, and Max Plant from Minnesota Duluth, and Hayden Stavroff from Dartmouth, the forwards, Lawton Zocker from Northeastern, the first goalie.

And for those unaware, any returning All-American gets an automatic invitation back.

Obviously, they don't necessarily have to accept it, but they do receive that automatic invite.

You know they're going to put up a lot of goals.

Michigan looked really good.

You know Minnesota Duluth won a pair of games.

And then I'm missing one other one.

They named their first six.

You still get your access for the next month or 30 days or whatever it is.

Make the use of it and You can still watch those games on replay if you want to get some scouting on Michigan Tech or if you want to watch like Schadenfreude with Brett Larson's Gopher debut spoiled up there in Houghton.

But yes, I did.

I caught all the game on Sunday and I watched.

So I'm going to put it on the spreadsheet.

But yeah, I was impressed by Michigan Tech.

Now, again, how good are the Gophers? I mean, it's going to be difficult to assess the quality of those wins by the end of the year, let's say.

But I definitely think that Tech's going to be a better team to see than the Midgey.
