Joining us, Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, a pediatrician, clinical scientist, former chief scientist of the World Health Organization, and one of India's foremost public health leaders.

She currently serves as chairperson of the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation and principal advisor to the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, NTEP, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Over the past three decades, Dr. Swaminathan has worked extensively on tuberculosis, HIV, and other infectious diseases, helping shape both India and the world's response to public health challenges.

She's also the daughter of the late Dr. MS Swaminathan, the eminent agricultural scientist, widely regarded as the principal architect of India's Green Revolution.
