"Gay scene, isn't it?" he remarked.

We have war prime minister in the fall of Asquith, just as Churchill replaced Neville Chamberlain in 1940.

No, but I think that that is, again, shows a couple things.

One, exactly how capable Lloyd George was as a war leader, as a prime minister, but also as a political operative.

His job is to be focused on this question of production.

Arguments, he's often been seen as a very effective minister, although how much of that was his own personal PR? is debatable.

And again, he keeps hopping over to France in order to see what's going on on the ground, something which a Ministry of Munitions doesn't really need to do.

I mean, occasionally for PR purposes.
