Mini marathon

They seemed to be breaking the world records and doing a wee bit of running.

But then when I was older in my teenage years, Greenock ran a thing called the Mini Marathon.

I don't know exactly.

I was trying to look up to see what the distance was, but it was roughly six miles.

Okay.

Do you know of people that did do the mini marathon? Because that finishes at the Opera House as well, doesn't it?

Correct, finishes, yeah.

So it pretty much does the last, would you say about K and a half or two Ks, Peter, of the marathon course.

I know you said, um, expanding, um, but is there any kind of other projects you guys are thinking about on that side?

I love the, the, the, the mini marathon is, is a great race every year.

And so I've run that, I've run it before in the past also, I've run it, uh, Every year that I've been mayor so far and hope to continue doing that as well.

This last one was particularly special because my other son, my other son, he'd been trying to break two hours in a half marathon.

And that was great because he was able to accomplish his personal goal of breaking two hours at the same time we were able to run together.

But they knock it out of the park every year.

You see the best of Louisville during the mini marathon and the KBF marathon as well.

And so that's a great race.

Over the weekend, I was over in Sydney.

Just before the Sydney Marathon on the Sunday, there was an event called the Mini Marathon.

It's a little five-kilometer moment that people all participate in.

I think there was something like 20,000, 30,000 people that did the five-kilometer.
