Mingus Big Band

I know even the guys I work with.

What are you doing tomorrow? I'm playing with Mingus Big Band or I'm playing Broadway.

They didn't do it.

Yeah.

Good

... let's talk maybe, uh, first about, I know the Middlesex County, the Middlesex Jazz Festival, and you're gonna be leading the, the Mingus Big Band for that show.

Um-

Right.

Roy Campbell Jr. was born in 1954, jazz trumpet player who was big on the avant-garde loft jazz scene in groups like the Pyramid Trio.

Jazz pianist Dave Kakowski was born in 1961, very highly sought-after New York City session musician and also a post-bop jazz player, played with the Mingus Big Band.

Nicola DeBerry was born in 1940, Italian crooner who achieved huge success across Europe and Latin America.

Also won the San Remo Music Festival twice in the early 1970s.

I know you for a long time.

Probably since the Mingus Band.

Mm-hmm.

You were born in London.
