Mineral Area College

Yeah.

Um, and, uh, I went to school, studied, just graduated, and went to Mineral Area College on a baseball scholarship.

Mm-hmm.

Which I went, I played the fall ball for them, and I decided, nah, I did too much school.

And it is Tuesday, so it's time for another Mac Minute.

And we start it with the Middle Area College Lady Cardinal volleyball team as they are 11-4 after their home opener win over Frontier in straight sets last week.

The Lady Cardinals will play at the Grizzly Invitational this weekend at West Plains, but they'll be there a day earlier.

Friday they'll begin it with the resumption of the game against West Plains that began last Tuesday.

It was not in the field of play, although they would have had to wipe up the water every 20 seconds or so, and both teams decided, hey, we'll just reschedule it.

And with the Cardinals heading down there this weekend, they said, why not that Friday before? In men's soccer, the Cardinals are 3-7-1 and have won three in a row all conference games and all shutouts.

1-0 over St. Charles, 4-0 over St. Louis Community College, and 5-0 over Metropolitan.

The women's soccer team is 1-9-1, and both the men and women are at East Central on Wednesday.

The walk to end Alzheimer's is happening today.

Mineral Area College, I believe that gets underway nine o'clock this morning.

They're probably starting to line up right now.

Maddie Irwin has done a great job organizing that.

And Ben Talley, current student, senior at Farmington High School, with a birthday today.

Happy birthday, Ben.

And then tomorrow, I need to wish a happy birthday to Blake Jones, head baseball coach at Mineral Area College.

And did you have Bob Hamby? I'm sorry.

In boys soccer, Farmington shuts out Sackman 3-0 and Windsor over Fredericktown 4-0.

And Mineral Area College Volleyball, the Lady Cardinals were down in West Plains last night and only got one set of that game completed.

Mack takes set one, 25-21, but the rest of the game was postponed due to a water leakage on the floor at the West Plains Civic Center.

Coming up today on the local side, high school softball at AM 1240 KFMO.
