Mind Games

Almost a half century, really, since he left us, too, which is just mind-boggling to me.

But we heard an acoustic demo there from the John Lennon Anthology Box, recorded in 1973 in the run-up to the Mind Games album.

And one of the reasons I wanted to play that song for you, which was not released until 1998, 18 years after his death, is because I think it blows away the version on Mind Games.

Mind Games is a very spotty record.

In fact, it might be one of his weakest.

But the song Mind Games itself is fantastic.

And that's the opening track on the album.

So you might be thinking, oh, well, here's a real classic album, maybe as good as Imagine or something like that.
