Byron MarinHOST
22:44
Do you know what broke it? No.
Byron MarinHOST
22:46
It's Millennium Force, 2000.
Byron MarinHOST
22:49
So that was the first giga coaster.
Byron MarinHOST
22:50
Oh.
Stephen PayneHOST
16:55
Now, as far as best rides go, Siren's Curse was our favorite.
Stephen PayneHOST
17:00
You know, it's pretty tough because Siren's Curse, Steel Vengeance, and Top Thrill 2 and Maverick and Gatekeeper and Millennium Force are all pretty spectacular.
Stephen PayneHOST
17:12
The reason we liked Siren's Curse the best, and we talked about it and agreed on it, the thing about Siren's Curse was it has two elements that we really liked.
Stephen PayneHOST
17:20
This is the roller coaster that you get to the peak of the hill, and it's on sort of a platform, and the platform's jutting straight out, but then it's on a pivot, and it pivots down and then holds you there over the top of the hill, looking straight down, similar to what you experience on Yukon Striker, where it just holds you before it drops you.
Stephen PayneHOST
21:40
And she said, it feels like you're flying, right? And I'm like, yeah, that's exactly what it felt like.
Stephen PayneHOST
21:44
In fact, I said so.
Stephen PayneHOST
21:46
Speaking of flying, when you're on Millennium Force, that is a super fast coaster with big hills.
Stephen PayneHOST
21:51
And that's a crazy one too.
Jake ButtHOST
36:23
Yes, I have.
Devin GardnerHOST
36:23
Right, like Millennium Force, right? You've been on Millennium Force.
Devin GardnerHOST
36:27
About as crazy as it can be, right? Skydive and multiply that by 20, right? And that's how different it was.
Devin GardnerHOST
36:34
The scrimmage in the big house, which was my legs felt like they didn't work at times, to the real game with the crowd and the expectation and all that, right? And so our cadence was just ready, set, go.
Cabbie RichardsHOST
34:34
Toronto's won six of its last 10 games.
Cabbie RichardsHOST
34:37
Cleveland's fans are on the Millennium Force roller coaster at Cedar Point.
Cabbie RichardsHOST
34:42
Toronto's fans, we're on the Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland.
Cabbie RichardsHOST
34:45
That is the roller coaster that we've been riding.
DerekPANELIST
50:03
It's almost straight down.
DerekPANELIST
50:06
I think Millennium Force is the name of it or something like that.
DerekPANELIST
50:11
They've got a shitload of roller coasters.
Scotty GermanHOST
50:13
Well, okay.
Evan MinskerHOST
9:06
Hit me with the best rides.
Nina CorcoranHOST
9:07
So Millennium Force is, like, that's been around for a long time now.
Evan MinskerHOST
9:10
Okay.
Nina CorcoranHOST
9:10
I went on that as a kid many times, and-
Evan MinskerHOST
9:12
That's the one that I remember from childhood, just people being like, "Get ready for the Millennium Force," this thing.
Nina CorcoranHOST
9:19
[laughs]
Evan MinskerHOST
9:19
It's like...
Nina CorcoranHOST
9:49
And that is credited as kind of kicking off, uh, the, the 2000s roller coaster wars when parks just started trying to outdo one another with, like, the tallest or the steepest drop or, like, craziest incline or whatever, most number of loops.
MikeHOST
39:01
Did you see what happened to our buddy El Toro Ryan? So somebody made a vlog.
MikeHOST
39:07
So Ryan put the video out talking about how the seatbelts are shortened on Millennium Force.
MikeHOST
39:12
There's a whole series on it, like a whole video on it.
MikeHOST
39:15
Comes out, whatever, right? So because the ride was having people were getting evacuated.
Stephen PayneHOST
16:53
So it's within striking distance for a visit.
Stephen PayneHOST
16:56
And there are quite a few great roller coasters to try there, including things like Millennium Force.
Stephen PayneHOST
17:03
And that's what I'm going to do this coming weekend, actually.
Stephen PayneHOST
17:07
I'm going to visit Cedar Point with my Canada's Wonderland gold pass.
Tony ClarkGUEST
5:18
And I kind of used some of those skills to bring the blog to life at Cedar Point, which was a first for us.
Tony ClarkGUEST
5:24
Monty Jasper actually was the first person that did it during the construction of Millennium Force, if you remember.
Tony ClarkGUEST
5:29
First theme park to have that kind of diary online.
Tony ClarkGUEST
5:32
So technically, that was a blog, but we didn't sell it as such.

45 MINS LATER

Andrew StilwellHOST
51:04
Favorite roller coaster you've ever ridden?
Tony ClarkGUEST
51:08
I'm going to get...
Tony ClarkGUEST
51:10
Okay, so favorite coaster of all time is Millennium Force, only because sentimental value to me.
Tony ClarkGUEST
51:15
I'm not going to talk about its forces.
Karen KaslerGUEST
52:19
...
Karen KaslerGUEST
52:19
Millennium, when you compare that to Millennium Force or Top Thrill 2 or something like that, it's just really kind of, it's almost quaint.
Karen KaslerGUEST
52:25
But it was just, it's a great ride.
Stephanie HaneyHOST
52:26
Mm-hmm.
