And he said, oh, I used to get into such trouble with things like that because, you know, Roland would tell her teachers what daddy said.

It's like, wait a minute this is child abuse child abuse no it's not child abuse it's it's discipline and uh and rowan turned out great because the other part of the story is that rowan works at uh at mile high comics and was actually and as far as i know is still in charge of uh the independent comics side of it so it was very very interesting not having seen Rowan since 1982, when she came up at a signing and said, you don't recognize me.

Dave and Denny Sim came to Mile High Comics in November of 1982 for signings at our stores.

This was during their first North American tour.

I remember that they spent a day at our warehouse, which was formerly a roller skating rink.

These were the first comic book superstores ever, and I don't think Chuck gets enough credit for that.

And if we're going to do a book that is going to be widely disseminated in the general comic book market and hopefully also appealing to civilians, I think the fact that this guy invented comic book superstores is worth playing up.

[laughs] So of the, of the people who jumped on board, uh, it was definitely a, a precursor of everything that would come from you.

Uh, and I just, I had the best time, and- We went to Mile High Comics, so this is where I'll land the plane, and we had about a four-hour line out of, out of Chuck Rozanski's Mile High Comics superstore right down the street from Disneyland.

And you looked at me and you said, "Is it always this big?" Like, the, the signing.

And, and I said [laughs], "This one's a little...
