We subsequently confirmed and announced Steve Corino, The Sandman, Tajiri, and Mikey Whipwreck, and that's when the trouble started.

On November 25th, two weeks before the scheduled ECW show, onewrestling.com reported that the Bronco Bowl had angrily canceled the ECW event after learning that several of their wrestlers would also be appearing on our card in Fort Worth.

Mikey Whipwreck told one of my partners over the phone that Heyman had put the blame for the cancellation on him and the other three wrestlers, going so far as to tell the ECW locker room that he would've used the money that ECW was gonna make in Dallas to catch them up on their pay, but the selfishness of a few had ruined his plan."
