Mikey Forrester

We're hoping to make progress on that.

And the last time we saw you on screen was in T2, and Mikey Forrester's doing okay for himself.

Yeah, I mean, I was, my character, like, Mikey Forrester was the only Upworthy Mobile character in the whole thing, so I was chuffed with it,

yeah.

And it gets a bit meta at the end of T2 because we see Spud writing the opening lines to Trainspotting.

It smelled like sweets.

and I have a little fun fact for you so Irvin Welch who wrote the novel that the movie was based on he actually makes a brief cameo appearance in the film so he plays Mikey Forrester who is the local drug dealer who sells the opium suppositories to Renton so there's a little fun kind of trivia fact and also you started the beginning of this interview with like kind of like taking on the Choose Life monologue apparently so that's what kicks off the film and straight away you're hooked you're like this is deadly but apparently that was actually originally meant to be further on in the film it was meant to be like in the middle of the film which I don't think would have worked.

I love

these fun facts.

Okay.

And Mikey Forrester is Irvin Welch, the author.

No fucking way.

So the guy who supplies Renton with the suppositories.
