Mikey Bergeron

This is a guy who's a returning starter who was at Big 12 Media Days as a representative.

Mikey Bergeron, who has been a special team staple, had a very key block on that punt return.

You talk about another thing now with the no redshirt rule is Any freshman can contribute if they're good enough.

You're not saying, oh, well, if we use them for special teams in game one, then we can only pick three more games the rest of the year.

Amazing wall.

Mikey Bergeron had a great block on that to help spring it.

But Brandon White, he got to the edge.

He followed the wall.

That was probably my most animated moment in the press box.

Mikey Bergeron and someone else got real close.

Yeah, I thought they had it, and that was after the punt return TD, although D.Y. was up here screaming that there was a block in the back in case they got away.

Yeah, so I think there's really three that we didn't talk about that I think that will play a role on K-State, but maybe not necessarily on defense.

Mikey Bergeron, Jet Dineen, and Jack Fabris are all going to be special teams guys that play nearly every unit that K-State will have.

and are the guys that I think that you need to have that really take pride in being those special teams guys.

All three are probably even behind Wesley Fair in terms of snaps on defense, but like You know, again, K-State blows out Nichols.

You might see Jack Fabris or Jet Dineen or Mikey Bergeron come in and play a little bit of defense near the end of the game.

But you're going to see those guys on special teams a ton.

To the point where, you know, I did a fact or fiction last week of does K-State score a non-offensive touchdown? There was part of me that thinks that like either one of those three guys could block a punt and somebody could run it in against Nichols.

And then like RJ Collins could be a guy that helps out on special teams a little bit like.
