Mike Stern

I just never had the time to do the things that I wanted to do outside trading because I didn't want to go back to blue-collar despair.

So I had to take a step back and say, okay, what is going to really set me free to get me to a point where I can practice more of my guitar, take some lessons with like a John Abercrombie, you know, a Mike Stern kind of a deal, a Borelli Legreen, a Larry Coriel.

You know, what do I have to do to get into the league where it would make sense for them to be my teacher, right? So that was a big challenge.

You know, getting the black belt, learning how to paint, anything like that, and then approaching people who really know quality over...

And that's because I am a huge fan of Pat Metheny.

it's been a little period of my life where I studied jazz guitar and I really felt in love with them with Mike Stern with that kind of guitarism so yeah I heard Electric Counterpoint his interpretation actually it's been written for him and then I started I started studying many literature for about minimalist music in particular and minimalist music in cinema as well.

So Electric Counterpoint came up many times.

And what I did in the first place was, okay, let's do a couple of... a couple of reinterpretations of basically the first and the third movements to present myself to conservators and to academias along with my written research proposals.
