And because they did punish Jerry Sandusky to a certain degree, in retrospect, once the story completely changes, it looks like they knew that they had a massive problem and that they were actually going easy on him and that they might have been trying to cover this all up.
John ZieglerHOST
68:09
That's not what happened, but that's what Penn State became vulnerable to because specifically Mike McQueary, much like this woman, radically changed his story years later when his incentive structure was altered.

So to have two accusations at trial where there were no accusers is inherently incredibly suspicious, especially since they were two of the most high profile situations, including the so-called Mike McQueary episode, which I'm sure we'll get to.
John ZieglerGUEST
9:27
So that's a huge red flag.

John ZieglerGUEST
12:27
So the point is that when you look at these numbers, I get 10 sounds, wow, how could that possibly be a situation where no one was telling the truth? And what I tell you is that when you look at this carefully, the whole thing falls apart very, very quickly, especially when you understand that the primary allegation, the one that everybody knows about, and the reason why we never even gave those eight guys any scrutiny at trial, was because of the so-called Mike McQueary episode, the former assistant coach at Penn State who allegedly walked in to a Penn State shower and quote-unquote witnessed Jerry Sandusky sexually abusing a young boy.
John ZieglerGUEST
13:11
I get, I totally get, that if you believe that that's what happened, that none of the rest of this case matters.
