Suddenly, you have all these blue Democratic voters in Sonoma County that will make up the base of this district.

Now, Gallagher now faces an uphill climb to win reelection under the new line.

So he's facing Mike McGuire, who is a state senator, previously the pro tem of the state Senate.

who under these new lines gets to run with all these North Bay Democrats.

Gallagher spent 12 years in the state assembly, including three as assembly minority leader.

He now faces a challenger from Democratic state senator and former pro tem Mike McGuire.

We are working with McGuire's campaign to bring him on the show.

I spoke with Representative Gallagher yesterday about his priorities in D.C. one.

He's running for reelection in California's redrawn first congressional district against Democratic state Senator Mike McGuire.

The two will be at a community forum in Ukiah this evening.

Uh, and now, yeah, they, they continue to prioritize this high-speed boondoggle train, um, to a billion dollars a year.

They recently just passed, uh, uh, some legislation, uh, authored by Mike McGuire in the Senate, uh, that, SB840, that made the first priority for funding out of the cap and trade fund high-speed rail.

And the very last tier of funding, uh, was, was put towards wildfire prevention funds.

That's gonna lead to us actually getting less money to prevent catastrophic wildfire, and they're gonna continue to put our state taxpayer dollars anyway towards this high-speed rail project.
