Mike Haggar

Played the old SNK game, and then they eventually did the SNK versus Street Fighter crossover.

I, I would've loved a Mike Haggar cameo.

Like give me some Final Fight in there.

'Cause, um, Cody is in...

Yeah.

[laughs] Culture Brain was like, "Yo, we like what Capcom's doing, so we are gonna try to make a game that looks like what they're doing so much that we're gonna put Mike Haggar in the game-

[laughs] Yes

... and we're gonna call him Greg.

Just hijack the comic.

It gets even weirder because during the fight, The Ferret actually name checks Mike Haggar.

Wait, Mike Haggar from Final Fight?

Yes.

For those who might not know, Mike Haggar is the muscular, mustache-wearing mayor from Final Fight, another hugely popular Capcom arcade game set in the same universe as Street Fighter.

The guy who pile drives gang members.

Exactly.

It looks like it's a Final Fight episode.

Metro City Mayor Mike Hager is brought to his knees after his daughter Jessica is kidnapped by a nefarious gang.

I vaguely remember they did a Final Fight episode on this show.

Oh, that's so exciting.
