You're better off going full speed, and if they make you look silly, they make you look silly.

But I start to think, guys, like, are you going to try to tell somebody like Mike Ford, like, hey, I need you to kind of throttle down a little bit.

But, you know, there's seven corners still on this roster.

Well, I don't know what's like seven corners.

And then for the other, you know, seven or eight series of the game, Avion and Mike Hughes and AJ are your corner trio.

So it's a fascinating thing.

You know, I wondered if they would keep Malcolm DeWalt, but I didn't imagine they would keep both Malcolm DeWalt and Mike Ford because it just felt like did the same thing it's the spider-man pointing meme where it's just like what mike ford does really well malcolm dewalt does really well and what mike ford doesn't do well play defense you know malcolm dewalt had a great first game against the broncos in coverage and then not so much after that you know udfa yeah

So good for him.

They also keep special teams ace Mike Ford.

So apparently they're like, we're going to just have a bunch of special teams corners here.

And then it's actually CJ Henderson that is the depth outside corner.

Kobe Bryant was also an undrafted free agent that we had high hopes for last year and thought he had probably his best this might've been the best opportunity in his career to crack the initial 53 and he was unable to do so.

So, you know, he, he does land on the practice squad, but you know, Malcolm DeWalt definitely earned his spot and you know, we're excited to see him and yeah, you know, somebody that could turn into a really good ace and, he has enough legitimate speed.

You know, the coverage reps weren't always great, but he has enough speed to work with in terms of, you know, we could maybe get this guy up to, you know, cornerback five, cornerback four, you know, kind of level, you know, getting ready to take over, you know, from Mike Ford's position.

You know, we love Mike Ford, but, you know, he's getting up there in years, you know, he's a player that's gone next year.

I thought maybe he was a long shot since it was kind of a crowded room, but he made enough plays to make it.

I think is going to be really good.

C.J. Henderson had a tough third preseason game, but stayed on the roster, which he had a good enough camp overall.

Divine Diablo, J.D. Bertrand, Christian Harris, Kendall Daniels, Harold Perkins Jr., We got 13, I believe, defensive backs.

Jesse Bates, Avion Terrell, Mike Hughes to Marco Hellams, AJ Terrell, CJ Henderson, Mike Ford, Sidney Brown, Xavier Watts, Billy Bowman, Jamie Robinson, Natrone Brooks, and Malcolm DeWaltz.

And then we've got eight defensive linemen, Samson Ebukim, Brandon Dorlis, Deshaun Hand, Zedarius Smith, Mason Smith, LaKale London, Zach Harrison, Cameron Thomas, and then Gervin Dexter, who the Falcons traded for.

They traded Clark Phillips.

It, it could even be Malcolm DeWalt IV if they really like his upside.

I do think it's probably just gonna be Mike Ford Jr., which is kind of boring.

Um, you know, he's not someone you ever wanna play on defense, but he's a really good special teams player.

I think that's a point of emphasis for this team.

That would be one of those positions that you could add a linebacker to be six linebackers and take away a wide receiver to make it five wide receivers.

I do have the Falcons keeping six corners, three starters, and the three backups are Clark Phillips, Mike Ford and Darnay Holmes.

And then, of course, four safeties we've been talking all summer long about, you know, would DeMarco Hellams stick on the roster? I think he would.

And that mostly comes from the pressers that Craig Ockerman, the Falcons special teams coordinator and Justin Hood, their DBs coach, had earlier this week where guys like DeMarco Hellams were mentioned by name.

I'm sure we'll get your take on that at some point here in the next couple of weeks as this sort of settles.

But wide open battle, I think, for the final spots at corner and might just see it go to old special teams veteran Mike Ford at the end of the day, because I'm not sure anyone else has separated themselves enough.

So we'll see.
