From a fan base point of view, that formation he appears to like, I don't think it's not going to suit Milligan and Chaiwa to be in the same team, right? So back to that conversation we were having, I think we need to be aware that to get the best team on the park doesn't mean you play all the best individuals.

And there's that, the new manager's going to come in and he might not be playing your favourite that you give a lot of leeway to.

You know, there might be an example where Hanley's a better choice than Kerr, right? Or Mulligan, Chai was a better choice than Mulligan, but maybe no both play.

I was going to say Martin Boyle but to be different I'll say Jack Iredale I think this probably signals the end of a three at the back system and I don't think Ariel gets on the team anywhere other than left centre back and a three and I think the biggest success, I'm kind of torn between a few but I'm going to say Miguel Chaiwa I just think when you think about intensity, you think about pressing I think if you can organise more of his game around that stuff I think you can get a wee bit more out of him probably a lot more out of him there's a few players actually to be honest that probably come into that category in terms of great athletes but do we get do we get everything out of them that we could?

But... where we struggled again was because they had just matched us up across the pitch and because we were kind of lacking that confidence, things just stagnated a little bit and I especially thought in the middle of the park that was a real issue.

We obviously went back to Mulligan and to Chaiwa again and Chaiwa almost tried to play in that anchor.

Mulligan played slightly to the right and again Callum Wright came in and was more on this left side and Boyle and Eldon were more a two where I think it's sometimes an issue for Wright

three can be built in, You can sometimes have Chaiwa behind a man, Mulligan behind a man, Wright pushing up into this area, sometimes looking for a running behind, which I don't know why.

So shots that I can remember, Chaiwa had one for the edge of the box that wasn't on target.

There was one, I don't know if it counted as a shot, Wright fizzed it across the box.

I'm thinking if Eldon got a touch on it, and if he did, that would maybe go down as a shot on target.

And where we really miss him, Barlasa did it for us last season.

He would take the ball off of the centre-halves and he'd look for the diagonal to switch either to the left or to the right, more often to the left than the right, but he was able to sort of ping it to either.

Chaiwa tried one, and he only tried one that I can remember in the first half, where he had a bit of space, and he was on the west stand side, and he tried to play it across to the, it would have been the mayor, I think, and he just pinged it right into the east stand.

And I thought we really struggled.

I think Shuttle did enough to keep his place, and then he didn't necessarily think Clijé did as well, but you toss in a coin, whether it's Clijé or Lowe, and then the rest of you will probably go with yours.

And I think that was one of the problems for David Gray in that you couldn't be absolutely certain who you could trust.

Even Miguel Chaiwa, who was attracting a lot of interest from Celtic and clubs overseas in the last year or so.

So it was kind of chopping and changing because I don't think he was entirely sure exactly what his best 11 was or who he could trust.
