And Midwest Gaming Classic, which happens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they have a whole room dedicated to people who make their own portable Nintendo 64 consoles.
John RiggsHOST
24:15
Or one person made what they called the Genesis 4, which was a Genesis arcade cabinet.
John RiggsHOST
24:19
It was a full-size arcade cabinet with a Genesis cartridge slot right in the middle to play games on Sega Genesis or Mega Drive.
Tony GilesHOST
27:45
I'm just curious.
Tony GilesHOST
27:46
I'm just curious about it.
John RiggsHOST
27:49
Next time I'm at Midwest Gaming Classic, I'll have a look in that room.
John RiggsHOST
27:52
I do every year.
Sean CourtneyHOST
3:54
Uh, except to John.
Sean CourtneyHOST
3:55
I remember your name and face, but partly because, you know, we've been communicating for a while, and I, uh, hung out with you for a bit at Midwest Gaming Classic.
Jim GobelHOST
4:04
Isn't the SCAT this-
Sean CourtneyHOST
4:05
No.
Sean CourtneyHOST
7:18
That wa- that was fun.
Sean CourtneyHOST
7:19
There was a lot of, lot of great people I got to meet.
Sean CourtneyHOST
7:22
Uh, did I mention that I went to Midwest Gaming Classic [laughs] last episode? I don't remember-
Jim GobelHOST
7:27
Who knows? It's been so long
MacHOST
23:56
I think maybe we should consider the, oh gosh, what is it? Midwest.
MacHOST
24:02
Yeah, we should consider the Midwest Gaming Classic this year.
MacHOST
24:05
Let's apply.
Lam GulukaHOST
24:05
Everyone come out and hang.
JeffHOST
9:27
And this one is done by my buddy Jeff Spelt, he says the correct way with a G, from Guinea Pig Games.
JeffHOST
9:35
And we saw him in Midwest Gaming Classic.
JeffHOST
9:38
He was in the middle of the convention.
JeffHOST
9:41
Really awesome dude.

19 MINS LATER

JeffHOST
28:55
Which I played it, the cartridge on the Mr.
JeffHOST
28:58
So I didn't need the ROM.
JeffHOST
29:01
um what's cool about that though is that tiger chainsaw um i knew him from midwest gaming classic he was actually a moderator for a panel i did when i was running premium edition games so i was with tristan we were doing like almost like it was i i think it was still the the premium playcast or whatever but we were doing midwest gaming classic and tiger chainsaw was our moderator That's so cool.
JeffHOST
29:26
And now he makes games.
JeffHOST
17:50
I did not.
JeffHOST
17:50
I have an NES homebrew that came in from a guy that we hung out with and met and interviewed in Midwest Gaming Classic.
JeffHOST
18:01
So I got that in intent.
JeffHOST
18:03
So that'll be for next.

53 MINS LATER

JeffHOST
71:17
Dude, Maiden in the Dark is crazy because the publisher, I don't know if he's a developer, is Tiger Chainsaw Studios.
JeffHOST
71:27
Why that's insane is that Tiger Chainsaw was a YouTuber.
JeffHOST
71:33
He had hosted or moderated a panel of Midwest Gaming Classic when I was running Premium Edition Games.
JeffHOST
71:43
Oh, wow.
RobHOST
46:20
That was embarrassing.
RobHOST
46:21
Yes, Midwest Gaming Classic.
RobHOST
46:24
I wouldn't have come up
ZachHOST
46:25
with it if I was trying to think of it, as long as you couldn't, that I was able to.
Keith DahlHOST
54:26
already thinking about it.
Keith DahlHOST
54:27
I got a thing for the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, which is, at least to my knowledge, and I think the majority opinion, the best retro game show in the Midwest area.
Keith DahlHOST
54:41
So that's next year in April, and I will probably go to that again.
Keith DahlHOST
54:46
Last year was my first time, and it was amazing.
Matt ShoemakerGUEST
5:25
If you want a good game convention for video games, Kevin, I don't know if you go to many of these.
Matt ShoemakerGUEST
5:29
My personal favorite in the country is the Midwest Gaming Classic, which happens in March or April every year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Matt ShoemakerGUEST
5:37
Back when I used to live in Wisconsin, I would go there and I would pay whatever the ticket price was and I'd get in and they would have literally hundreds of pinball machines that you get to play for unlimited all weekend for free.
Matt ShoemakerGUEST
5:48
They had computer and console museums where you could just play all the classic and rare also video games you wanted for free all weekend long.
JeffHOST
13:29
You do need it.
JeffHOST
13:32
Now, the other piece is that anything that I have a story or collection with is 100% stained, whether it's something of Kyle's that I have a story with or something I got at Midwest Gaming Classic that got signed by the developer or at the Video Game Summit getting David Crane's game from him.
JeffHOST
13:48
Those are things that I will hold on to.
JeffHOST
13:50
Of course.
