Midwest Division

I really learned that in my early days at Kroger.

Spent a lot of time kind of doing that and then eventually worked my way up to be the CFO of the Midwest Division.

And at which point we were kind of making M&A calls on, you know, we had a capital allocation.

So we spent a lot of time trying to say, okay, are we going to build this new store? Are we going to expand this strategic finance type stuff, right? At the same time though, managing to an EBITDA goal and a sales goal and trying to figure out like which initiatives we were going to invest in and that kind of thing.

Looking ahead to next week, a little bit of an easier schedule.

You're not facing Midwest Division opponents.

Instead, you've got the Windsor Spitfires coming in here Saturday night.

You've got the Brantford Bulldogs in here on Sunday afternoon.

I think it's going to be a great season.

I think there's a lot of parity in the league right now.

I think there's a lot of teams that are set up to compete and obviously having the Moro Cup hosts in the Midwest division, like it's going to be interesting.

Owen Sound's got a ton of draft picks.

Okay, if you want to move off here to the Midwest, I'll let you kind of start us off here for your 10th.

Okay, coming in last in this Midwest division, I got the Owen Sound Attack.

I mean, maybe I'm a little bit low on them, but I just think this division is, like, solid and stacked, so it's, like, kind of hard to, like, really determine, but...

I mean, you know, you kind of look up front with Owen Sound, like Jacob Theron as a 20-year-old.

But I just don't see them being as good as they were last year.

I think this division is low-key loaded.

Like, this Midwest division is pretty sick this year.

So, yeah, I don't love their goaltending either.

ARRL, the National Association for Amateur Radio, has announced that the candidates for the 2026 ARRL Division elections are now official.

ARRL members choose between two candidates for Director in the Delta, Great Lakes, and Midwest Divisions, and two candidates for Vice Director in the Midwest Division.

The director positions in the Atlantic and Dakota divisions are unopposed, as are the vice director positions in the Atlantic, Dakota, and Delta divisions.

The Great Lakes division had no candidates for vice director.

Members in the Delta, Great Lakes, and Midwest Divisions will choose between two candidates for Director, and Midwest Division members will also select a new Vice Director.

There was only one candidate each for Director and Vice Director in the Atlantic and Dakota Divisions, and for Vice Director in the Delta Division.

There are no candidates for Vice Director in the Great Lakes Division.
