Midnight's Children

Being interviewed in India about their experience at partition.

When, you know, following World War II, when India and Pakistan sort of, and they talk about the Midnight's Children, how at the same time that Britain, quote unquote, freed, I don't know if that's the right word to use, post-colonial elite, freed India, they also divided it between Muslim and Hindu, and it, which was just a I don't know if I can call it like a disaster.

I mean, a disaster happened.

I'm sure some people in both countries are happy that both countries exist.
