Midgard

It launches straight into chapter one.

And I think it does give you the title chapters each time, doesn't it? So the first one's Surviving Fimbulwinter, I think, isn't it? Or is it Surviving Fimbulwinter? So we are back in Midgard.

We're with, obviously, Kratos and Atreus.

And supposedly...

So it's three years, it says here, after the events of the 2018 game, which would seem about right.

And the...

They're living, kind of eking out an existence to a certain extent, living with their wolves as Fimbulwinter starts to get its grips onto Midgard and everything is looking very, very...

They're living up at the North Pole.

So at the center of Norse cosmology stands Yggdrasil, an immense ash tree whose branches and roots extend throughout the cosmos.

The worlds of gods, humans, giants, and the dead exist in relationship to this cosmic structure with places such as Asgard, Midgard, and Hel woven into its geography.

Three great roots extend toward powerful cosmic regions, while beneath them lie wells associated with fate, wisdom, and primordial forces.

So a bunch of really cool looking ones, actually, if you can kind of notice here.

This is one that I'm actually more familiar with.

So as you can see down here, you got Midgard.

Midgard is where we are.

They shaped the land from his flesh, the seas and oceans from his blood, the mountains from his bones, and the various trees from his hair.

Midgard, the world of men, was formed from his eyelashes, and his brains were fashioned into clouds." The race of dwarves were created when the gods transformed the maggots that feasted on the remnants of Ymir's flesh into these new beings.

So creative thinking about it like that.

The gods set the dome of heaven, by some accounts, crafted out of Ymir's skull over all that was and saw that it was supported at each corner by a sturdy dwarf.

The moon is personified as a god named Manny, and the sun as the goddess Suna or Sol.

As the god and goddess ride across the sky, their carts are chased constantly and unincreasingly by two giants who transformed into hungry wolves and wish to violently rid themselves of the order the gods imposed.

At Ragnarok, these wolves will capture the celestial carts and devour the sun and moon, leaving the world in darkness." In the end, the gods did not stop with the creation of just Midgard.

They set in order nine worlds in all, which were connected by a gleaming rainbow bridge called Bifrost.

She's going to say, I know when we met, I briefly said that I, well, I'm curious about your god.

I've spent my whole life believing that strength was proven by the sword and praising Thor, knowing that the thunder who guards Midgard against those who would destroy us, if I call his name, I will hear his thunder.

But you and your gods, I don't understand why.

How do you praise a God that was nailed to a cross? Where is the strength in that? What kind of God conquers by allowing himself to be killed?

I think this could happen at the end of seven, but I think there's going to be a moment at the end of six or end of seven.

Modifnasa tries to go to Midgard to get Bryce's help.

And accidentally goes to Throne of Glass.

The same way that Bryce thought she was going to hell, but actually she came to Prithian because that's where she needed to go.

The rainbow? Her divine Wi-Fi signal.

Norse mythology? It's Bifrost, the glowing rainbow bridge between Earth, Midgard, and Asgard, the home of the gods.

Only the worthy could cross it.

Kind of like a spiritual TSA.

But further inland they built a great wall all the way around the world to protect it from the hostility of the giants, and for this wall they used Ymir's eyebrows.

The land inside the wall they called Midgard, in Old Norse Midgardr, the middle enclosure, the middle yard.

It was a place set apart, sheltered, enclosed and made ready for beings who did not yet exist.

The image of the world made from the body of a slain giant is very old, and it is not found only in the north.

The man was called Ask, which is the Old Norse word for the ash tree.

The woman was called Embla, a name whose meaning is uncertain, though it has often been connected with the elm or with a creeping plant such as a vine.

The gods gave them clothes, Snorri says, and names, and Midgard to live in, the sheltered land within the wall made from Ymir's eyebrows.

And from Ask and Embla came all the families of humankind.

He led the Wild Hunt, which hunted all the fae and all that kind of stuff.

But now since Bryce did all that stuff over in Midgard, what did it do to the prison in Prithian? Because same mountain.

Well, it's not the same mountain, but it's like they're tied magically together.

Do we think that it... unlocked the prison.

And there's all kinds of misty spots all over Springcourt.

Remember what we learned from misty spots? Those are the areas where you can world walk.

What if Tamlin pushed her through and sent her to Midgard? What do we think on that? And she's kind of got the amnesia stuff happening and doesn't know who she is.

And so what had happened prior to the hammer landing is we get to take a little trip up to one of the Nine Realms, and where Earth is known as Midgard, we get to step into the Norse mythology of Thor and everything.

Up in Asgard, Thor being a little bit of a naughty boy, not ready to take over the throne.

Loki pulls some strings to try to sabotage Thor's ascension, and has this plan to basically take over Asgard.

He's gonna make Thor look like an idiot, which really isn't hard, 'cause Thor's kind of an idiot at this point.

And through some scheming, he gets Thor banished from Asgard and gets his powers taken away.

So Thor gets sent to Midgard to learn some humility, and Loki starts to run his scheme up there.

As far as the Infinity Stone up there, still not found?
