Mid Coast

So when I came home, it was five months of deep difficulty, a lot of heartbreak, and I couldn't return.

I couldn't return to Midcoast, Maine after that experience, and I just kept trying to breathe and trust that integration would happen.

I think the big thing that changed me is Just realizing the scale of the medicine we have to bring as human beings right now.

The scale when we have ice disappearing and killing people and we have people thinking they need a trillion dollars to be fulfilled.

Yeah.

Just what happens next? You come back from that experience and what is that like? And how does one even, be with that and integrate that and what was your experience like?

Even with all the support we have, we have a trauma healing and social change year-long cohort and folks in the systematic experience community and five rhythms is so much, so many people held space for me, but I really, when I came back to Midcoast Maine, it was in my body.

So it wasn't even a mental thought.

Yeah.

We're both from the Midcoast in Maine.

Okay.

So there's that connection there.

Well, of course you do.

You're a drummer.

Some of them are based out of the Midcoast area

in Maine.

That's for sure.

The other thing here says Midcoast, Maine.

Between the polished resort towns of southern Maine and the remoteness of down east Midcoast, Maine is a study in contrast.

Here, working harbors, weathered lobster boats, and schooners coexist with independent bookstores, galleries, and a flourishing food and creative culture and celebrated coastal landscapes.

The region with its uncomplicated, rugged beauty has also produced artists of its own.

Uh, after investigating the sighting, police found no evidence of criminal activity, and perhaps disappointingly for cryptid enthusiasts, no proof that the elusive Bigfoot had finally chosen Mid-Coast Maine as his home.

I don't think that, uh, Mid-Coast Maine, n- nowhere in Maine.

You know, Maine is one of the two states in the union with no rattlesnakes, or at least it was when I was a kid.

Really?

And then, of course, Ball Harbor is Acadia National Park, one of the top 10 visited national parks.

So a lot of tourists will fly into Boston and come up the coast, starting at Kennebunkport, go to Portland, Midcoast, and then Ball Harbor.

Let's say that I just want to get right to you guys.

What's the best place for me to fly into? Yeah.
