Um, and then from there, having picked up close to about 4,000 of their properties, we ended up getting acquired by Pegasus Solutions.

But between the time we started with them and the time we got acquired, we had the likes of Priceline and Booking.com and what was called Micros Fidelio, now Oracle Hospitality, all vying to get into the booking engine business, and we were a target, but eventually Pegasus won out because we had most of the hotels, and then I went on to do that.

Having said that, uh, for the last, um, leading up to what I'm doing today on One Journey, I actually did quite a lot of things.

Um, I built and solution architected CRSes, PMSes.

Um, they all have to integrate at least.

And it's a really hard space to build in, so I think if you look over the last 20 years of tech evolution, which I've been super geeky and passionate about, there was Micros was the POS system, Micros and Squirrel.

Oh, yeah.

There were two POS systems.

Like, you had to build the hardware, you had to build the software, um, you had to build the infrastructure, you had to manage the networking.

It wasn't an easy solve.

These Micros and Squirrel are deeply embedded across all of these restaurants.

And at that point it was a question of do I want a pen and pencil, or do I not want a pen and pencil? And if you didn't want a pen and pencil, you went with Micros or Squirrel.
