[lips smack] And I also wanted to mention, um, microcredentials or microba- badges.

This is something that I have learned about in the last couple of years.

So these are emerging, and they are short, focused credentials that target specialized knowledge and skills that is needed to be able to care for a particular population of patients.

And these microcredentials, uh, to receive them, it involves passing a knowledge exam.

So to give you some examples, um, AACN, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, they currently now offer four microbadges, one for sepsis, one for ECMO, and one for ARDS, adult respiratory distress syndrome.

The perioperative nurses, they offer microbadges in pressure injury prevention in the OR [lips smack] and sterile processing.
