Grosjean, Ericsson, these guys are Formula One guys, and they should easily be sent right to IndyCar.
Tom NardoneHOST
9:33
So there you go.
TerryHOST
23:33
Yeah, but Max Verstappen's not an Indy car.
TerryHOST
23:35
You got Mick Schumacher.
TerryHOST
23:37
Great.
TerryHOST
23:38

Peter WalshHOST
6:28
Mick Schumacher, Michael Schumacher's kid, had to bring money to the table to get into Formula 1.
Peter WalshHOST
6:36
Okay? Kimi Räikkönen.
Peter WalshHOST
6:39
He's getting lucky because it doesn't seem to me that he needs any money whatsoever to get in the door here.
Soumil AroraHOST
29:03
Why not? Tie him down, see where it goes.
Soumil AroraHOST
29:05
Let's not put too much pressure on Robin like we did on Mick.
Soumil AroraHOST
29:09
I think we generally as motorsport fans also had a big hand in the journey that Mick Schumacher has had for better or for worse.
Soumil AroraHOST
29:15
I think we hyped him up way too much.
Soumil AroraHOST
29:17
We never looked at him objectively.
Tom NardoneHOST
5:49
We all sort of knew that was coming.
Tom NardoneHOST
5:51
Mick Schumacher and Meyer Schenk announced that they're working together and Schumacher will be in the 60 car, 66 car next year.
Tom NardoneHOST
5:59
And then the IR28, which is our next generation chassis, is testing right as we speak, as I speak, on the big oval at IMS.
Tom NardoneHOST
6:08
So that'll be interesting.
JamieHOST
5:12
So maybe it will be good.
JamieHOST
5:15
Uh, it does give, like, very Jeddah vibes, I think, especially the first year of Jeddah when no one really had a clue what was going on and Mick Schumacher tore his car in half twice.
JamieHOST
5:26
Um-
MattHOST
5:27
Standard Mick Schu- uh, no, he didn't even do it once that year.

14 MINS LATER

JamieHOST
19:04
'Cause obviously when you're 11, there's not a lot...
JamieHOST
19:07
You haven't really had any massive challenge probably.
JamieHOST
19:10
He hasn't, like, um, you know, Mick Schumacher is the one that springs to mind of, he did win F2, but in the, the Zhu Zhu engine that Prema had that year.
JamieHOST
19:20
So, yeah.
GarrettHOST
11:39
In Penske... seemed like they've turned the page from their completely terrible season last year and the first half of this year being okay um it seems like they've figured it out they finally won on a road course with scott mclaughlin here at laguna seca so i would expect at least malukas and mclaughlin to be pretty damn competitive next year i'm not so sure about new garden but Yeah, that's kind of my hope for 27 is that, yes, it could very well end up being a lame duck year, like you say, but hopefully the championship is more competitive.
speaker_1HOST
12:23
Mick Schumacher, please report to the MSR paddock.
speaker_1HOST
12:26
Mick Schumacher to the MSR paddock.
speaker_1HOST
12:30
Wow.
speaker_1HOST
12:31
I think that.
GarrettHOST
13:20
Yeah, I think he was a lot better on ovals than what many people expected.
GarrettHOST
13:25
I don't know if he ended up winning Rookie of the Year, because who was it that wrecked out? Hauger wrecked out of this one very early.
GarrettHOST
13:37
But yeah, I think Mick Schumacher is going to be someone to at least... kind of pay attention to next year.
Sean KennedyHOST
40:07
But he has no hope in hell of winning that championship.
Sean KennedyHOST
40:09
But on the flip side, Mick Schumacher won the F2 championship without winning.
Sean KennedyHOST
40:12
He won one race.
Sean KennedyHOST
40:13
Or did he? Yeah, he won one race all year.
CoopsHOST
44:42
Other than that, and then Max comes in and takes over the world.
CoopsHOST
44:45
But Raikkonen's won a world championship.
CoopsHOST
44:47
So Michael Schumacher won a championship.
CoopsHOST
44:49
His kid's crap.
Will ErnestHOST

In 2018, they had all the... aero package stuff and then 2012 is when the last chassis debuted so they had that thing for 15 years but the ir28 it's it's not only new aero changes but also just a completely new chassis so i'm curious if it's going to end up like the next gen was when it debuted in 22 on the nascar side if it's going to completely just throw caution to the wind and just have parity and just have a new winner basically every single week so I'm curious if that's what it's going to do, but of course, with the IndyCar season now over, which we'll talk about Laguna Sega in a bit, Silly Season's beginning to ramp up as well.

Connor Daly will run full-time in the 24 for Dryer and Reinbold Racing, and they're returning as a team to IndyCar for the first time since 2012, and it was announced during Laguna Sega weekend that Mick Schumacher will fill Felix Rosenquist's seat at Meyerschenk Racing next year as Rosenquist heads to McLaren along with Scott Dixon, who left Chip Ganassi Racing after 25 years, so that ride's up for grabs but I wouldn't be surprised if Christian Lingard got that right as he's now out of McLaren now that the season's over but there's not really any other seat that's as coveted as Dixon's seat I mean I guess Palou but of course Palou's not going anywhere so I'm curious who's going to fill that seat
Ethan WolfeGUEST
4:11
I would think Lundgaard is definitely a top candidate, especially with his prowess on road courses.
Ethan WolfeGUEST
4:17
I know Chip Ganassi said in an interview a while ago, Alex Pillow wants somebody that can challenge him, and I definitely feel like Christian Lundgaard is that guy that can challenge him.
