I did two years of writing press releases and newsletters and God knows what for all their kind of advertorial content about all their bands.

So I'd sit down with Mick Hucknall from Simply Red and interview him and then come up with a press biography or a press release about his picture book, his first album or whatever.

And I did that for two years.

It was mind-numbingly dull at times but it got us the business was a was in full boom time and I then just gradually I was approached by A&M a record label around the corner from here which was a very long-standing 60s founded independent founded by Herb Albert jazz musician and Jerry Moss who was the kind of business side of the relationship and I went there as a I think I went as a junior publicist having just watched everybody at Warners, I'd never really done PR in a strict sense, but I kind of osmotically kind of understood what was required, and I'd met lots of journalists in that time.
