Seems reasonable to me.

However, the Michigan Supreme Court said, well, the problem is, well, actually, the problem started before that.

Because according to Americans for Citizens Voting, they made this emergency petition in the Supreme Court because the Michigan Board of State Canvassers refused to certify the petition for the November 3rd election.

despite the group having more than 700,000 signatures and needing only 446,000.

Now, again, the Supreme Court is not in session, so this went to Justice Kavanaugh.

He covers that circuit, and he rejected the request by Americans for citizens voting for their emergency grant, their emergency request to put this on the ballot.

By the way, the Michigan Supreme Court also rejected the group, their measure at the state level.

Now, again, I find this interesting.

And this is why they fought me year after year after year.

Even after I won in the Michigan Supreme Court.

I won in the 6th Circuit.

The Eastern District of Michigan.

They appealed me then.

Then after I won in the trial court, they appealed it to the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Then they appealed it to the Michigan Supreme Court.

This wins after wins.

Hmm.

Last year, a very similar case to Erin and Adam's went all the way up to the Michigan Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court ultimately said, "You know what? We're not gonna rule on this.

This is a question for the legislature."

Mm-hmm.

And the last story for this segment, the Michigan Supreme Court on Thursday, this is interesting, it ruled in favor of adding a proposal to the November ballot enshrining the right to an abortion in the state's constitution.

This is a big deal, ending a partisan feud that unexpectedly erupted when a state board refused to approve the question last week.

Can you believe that shit? And...

We got another ballot proposal to keep corporate money somewhat out of politics, and the Chamber of Commerce and a bunch of other groups fought against it, and they just got shot down by the Michigan Supreme Court.

So that's two good news items.
