interested in pursuing the history of Detroit.

And over the years, you know, I've written many, many articles, freelance reporter, worked with a number of newspapers there, the State of Michigan Chronicle, the Black Newspaper, and of course, a short period of time with the Detroit Free Press and and ultimately one of the founding members of the Metro Times newspaper.

So all of that kind of background on my writing career and my aspirations.

And so it just dawned on me one day, what about the history? You know, being a teacher, I taught for several years at Wayne State University.

And just as a spectator, Carl, I was not, no intention of writing anything.

But I want to know, I went after one event I covered, and I jotted down my notes, and I shared it with a friend.

They said, you ought to go ahead and and send this to the Michigan Chronicle.

They might be interested in publishing it.
