Which member of the 60s folk group The Mamas and the Papas portrayed Picard's old flame, Janice Mannheim?

It says Michelle Phillips, whose daughter, Chyna, was in 90s pop group Wilson Phillips, who I was just rocking out to like a couple weeks ago.

amazing if Picard's Old Flame was played by John Phillips, but it was not.

Right.

I'm not going to, you know, so.

But if I'm not mistaken, are both of the members of this band like the children of like rock and roll legends? Okay, Michelle Phillips and Brian Wilson's kid, if I'm not mistaken.

I think so.

I think that's how it is or they're related somehow.

Roger McGuinn of Bird's Fame, future episode, cites the Beatles as foundational to the development of folk rock.

I mentioned that Cass Elliott, Denny Doherty, and Michelle Phillips force-fed the Beatles to John Phillips to try to get him to adopt a rockier sound in the Mamas and the Papas episode.

But there's also a documentary called You Can't Do That, which is on the Criterion Collection DVD for A Hard Day's Night, where Roger McGuinn talks about how he and David Crosby, then doing traditional folk, after seeing A Hard Day's Night were so inspired that McGuinn traded in his acoustic 12-string for an electric 12-string because of George Harrison.

It just goes to show how the 60s were pretty much a trading of influences back and forth.
