It's, uh, Saturday, September 19th, which is a week after this Saturday, right? And, um, we have the, um, the, the four of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefers come, Doyle Grisham, Nadira Shakoor, Peter Mayer, and, uh, Mi- Mick Utley.

And, um, so we have, we have four different venues or four different groups.

We have, uh, the Peter Mayer Band, who is ...

We have the Scott Kirby Trio, and, and he, Scott has a huge following around the, the country.

The Floating, uh, Collective Band, which is the, uh, offspring of three of the Coral Reefers.

Mick Utley was Mike Utley's son.

And Brenda Mayer is Peter Mayer's son, and Erin Ma- uh, McAnally is Mac McAnally's daughter, and they're extraordinary.

That's what did it for him.

But yeah, and he started adding steel drums and he took a guy named Michael Utley from Jerry Jeff Walker and Mr. Utley kind of had some stuff that he had Mac McAnally.

This album is also the first of Jimmy's not to contain a song written solely by him.

He co-wrote all the songs on the album with Will Jennings and Michael Utley.

There are covers of a Mac McAnally song and a song by Rhonda Coulet.

Our All Music review by William Ruhlmann: Jimmy Buffett scored four consecutive gold or platinum albums in the second half of the 1970s, but the first half of the 1980s has not been so friendly to him, in record stores at least.

On tour, things have gone just fine.

So Riddles in the Sand, Buffett seems to have determined to take another shot at the country market, hooking up with producer Jimmy Bowen and Tony Brown, plus Buffett's touring keyboardist and frequent songwriting partner Michael Utley, and returning to Nashville.

The idea seems to have been to devote the first side of the LP to country-related fare, with the second side remaining in Buffett's familiar soft rock Caribbean mode.

All right, it was produced by band member Michael Utley and recorded and mixed by Jay Rifkin.

The title of the album is taken from the 1941 poetry collection of the same name by Don Blanding.

The album marks the end of Buffett's shift toward a more country sound that characterizes previous two releases and a return to a sound closer to that of his late 1970s and early 1980s output.
