Michael RickelsGUEST
And, uh, uh, what Alice and I attempt to do in our podcast is, is first highlight feature articles so that deputy editors of Diabetes Care pick three articles, uh, in each month's issue that are available, uh, for public access.

Michael RickelsGUEST
while everyone here has, uh, I hope ADA members, has access to, uh, the whole issue, uh, uh, everyone who has a-access to, uh, podcasts can, uh, hear about, uh, uh, two of the feature articles, um, but they have access to all of them, uh, uh, free of charge.

Michael RickelsGUEST
And so Alice and I will each pick one of the articles to interview, uh, one or more of the authors, uh, to hear about their, uh, insights, motivations, and, uh, key implications that we hope our listeners can take back to their own research, clinical practice and, and teaching.

You're up next.

Michael RickelsGUEST
So I-I-I'll, I'll start as well with, uh, o-one of the things that brings me to Scientific Sessions, uh, e-each year and, and which was, uh, so much fun for me, in particular this year, is being able to, um, uh, observe current, uh, and former students, um, fellows, post-docs, uh, uh, presenting their science and, and their work, and having the opportunity to mentor individuals at my own institution and other institutions, um, uh, who are, are here presenting their science, making connections, uh, uh, establishing collaborations, and, and advancing to, to the next, the next steps in, in their work.

Michael RickelsGUEST
And, and that's a r- a real fun, uh, and exciting part of this conference, and, and only, I mean, the, the greatest stage, uh, in the world for, for doing that in, in diabetes.

Michael RickelsGUEST
I will-- I highlight one, one session which I'll, I'll try to not s- put everything that I've written here.

Uh, but Saturday morning, um, uh, I went to the symposium on harnessing big data to decode immune mechanisms in Type 1 diabetes.
