This portion of the book really feels like it is honing in on the nature of addiction in a way that if you are paying attention over the course of the book, you will already have noticed the ways in which these things gradually get worse and worse, and they escalate, and then eventually ending with Hal and all the stuff with Ortho Stice as an example of what happens when you try to break that addiction.

Yeah.

Lenz is just an absolute shitheel, and I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

There's a fine line between being Pemulis and being Randy Lenz.
