Folks, we just passed the five-year anniversary of the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, and our next guest is a producer and director of The Path to Zero, the latest addition to the Wall Street Journal Opinion documentaries, a series of documentaries produced in collaboration between the Wall Street Journal Opinion and Palladium Pictures, an independent production company.

Michael Pack, welcome to the broadcast.

How are you? Thanks for having me.

I'm doing well, thank you.

It became clear that an attack was imminent.

It was an IED, bro.

And Michael Pack, thank you for your involvement in this project and for bringing this back into the forefront of the American people and what a horrific experience that was.

What did you learn about this withdrawal that maybe you didn't know going into it after concluding the project?

And I'll just 20 years later, what would we do? President, when we tried a whole foreign policy on this last week, people should listen to based on a movie called Zero.

Anyhow, it was a movie by Michael Pack.

It's a Wall Street Journal opinion film, and it's on the shameful, shambolic, chaotic, bloody withdrawal and retreat from Afghanistan.

And essentially capitulation to the Taliban who could say, well, it took a long time, but Osama bin Laden was right, wasn't he? Eventually they'll withdraw and give it back to us.

That's what they're there for.

One of my heroes, Michael Pack.

Now, why is Michael Pack one of my heroes? Not only is he a great artist, but he is.

I love people that are tough.

He's tough as boot leather.

And brother, that is in a long history of great work, not good work, great work.

I couldn't be prouder, but I'm really proud of the Wall Street Journal stepping in and having a great filmmakers back and saying, hey, go make the topics, go go do the subjects that you think the American people need to hear both in MAGA, the center and the left.

And it looks at the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the reliance on these zero units trained by the CIA.

We'll also ask her a few things about a weird thing that ACLU, the left-leaning civil rights group is doing in Iowa, maybe to keep people on voter rolls who don't deserve to be there.

I'll describe that in the third block of the show.

Speaking of that, we're going to talk more about that with the former Pentagon official in a second.

And also in the third block, Michael Pack, the great documentarian, has a killer documentary put out today.

Explosive new allegations about what happened at Abbey Gate in the aftermath.

We're going to have all that later in the show.

It's hard to say exactly how bad it will be, but the incompetence already from what we've seen from five years ago shows that it's probably going to be some pretty tragic stuff that we're going to find out that we're going to have to really continue to dig.

Yeah, that's a good point.
