Who cares? What's your mindset on that?

Yeah, I think the thing for me is, and I wrote an article about this, but it's just the way that the Jets went about that game felt like they were a professional football team for the first time in, definitely not last year.

Other than that, we have some things to work out with that after last year's Denver fiasco.

It seems to be a little bit of a theme now.

Got to work on that.

But just the lack of turnovers, the lack of sacks, and they had some penalties.

They can clean that up.

So how do you see this playing out with Gino?

I think the only guy who was out there who I thought – maybe at a higher ceiling, was Kyler Murray.

But I don't think that was ever a realistic option.

It seemed like him and the Vikings was kind of destined.

So I think at first I was a little more critical of it, just in the sense that I kind of wanted them to find some way to take a bigger swing.

But as the dust kind of settled, it was clear that This was really it.

There wasn't a ton they could do about it.

For me, the dream duo is AZ Thomas and Ponce on the outside.

So why don't you break down your thoughts on this?

Yeah, I think before even getting into it, I think it's really important to understand that the context of the record that they get to and the draft pick that they end up with is what's most important, 'cause there, there are a lot of different ways to go eight and nine, there are a lot of different ways to win two or three games.

And the way that they get there, I think, matters more than that final result, because I think on both sides of the spectrum, you could see a way for it to be negative and a way for it to be positive.

Like, let's say they go eight and nine, I think there are ways to do that where you probably would prefer to tank because let's say they ge- they go eight and nine because Demario Davis and Minkah Fitzpatrick have great seasons, Geno Smith bounces back, but all the rookies struggle, and you're winning by one against the bad teams, getting blown out against the, the good teams.

So that's something, like look at the 2019 Jets, I think that's a great example of a similar predicament, where you have a head coach you're not very confident in, in Adam Gase, and you go seven and nine, but you could tell it was a fluky seven and nine, not much to really build on, but the coach has to come back because it was a decent win-loss result.

And then you get the 2020 season.

So there's that type of eight and nine season, and I would understand fearing that as a Jets fan, 'cause it doesn't really push the franchise forward.

But what do you need to see from Glenn this year in order to make you think maybe this guy's the right hire for the Jets?

Yeah, and another thing on that note is that Garrett Wilson's value is hard to quantify with the numbers, because a lot of the guys you're comparing him against r- recorded their production with better quarterbacks.

Like even Watson, we're talking about a guy who Wilson's already way ahead of, but Watson's played with Jordan Love compared to what Garrett Wilson has had to deal with.

So you're projecting that pure talent-wise, his impact is well ahead of what the numbers say, and that hopefully with better quarterbacking, even if it's just competent, his numbers will start to be even further ahead of where they already have been.

So you like the projection.

And that applies to Breece Hall too with, you know, hopefully better game scripts and blocking, things like that.

But, uh, yeah, I, I think process-wise there are a lot of positive things with this front office and, you know, we said that at times with Joe Douglas, so i- it's gotta translate at some point before you can truly trust it.

Looking at the personnel the Jets have and what you know about an Aaron Glenn defense based on his four years as a DC with the Lions, what are fair expectations for the Jet defense this year?
