I've never rehearsed for something for three weeks.

One rehearsal had an audience, the nation's highest-ranking officer, Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the head of special operations, Admiral Eric Olsen, and observers from the White

House.

One of the things that I liked after the fact was I remember Admiral Mullen coming by and talking to each one of us, and then Admiral Olsen as well, and I thought that was...

I mean, it's gone up $4 trillion just since Donald Trump took office.

Who's talking about that? Who's actually leaning into a very real crisis? I mean, Admiral Mullen called that 15 years ago the largest national security challenge that we face.

The other one is national security.

You know, I recorded a video the other day.

He's blowing all of our spies.

Here's Mike Mullen.

You got to bring that up quick or people are going to wonder why I talk that way.

Right? I mean, it was, uh...

it was Mike Mullen a long time ago talking about the debt, uh, being, uh, the biggest danger toward, uh, national security, and at the time, um, right, it was kind of a perilous time when, uh, Mike, uh, was, uh, was talking about that.

Um, let me just, M- Melanie, just ask you really quick because Dan's weighed in on this a couple of times on the program about sort of the, the, the, the most important lessons from the Ukraine war that are applicable particularly to the United States, right? I mean, every conflict has its context, and there's a tendency of trying to, you know, like, oh my God, you know, what- whatever we saw in Gaza or whatever we saw in Iran or whatever w- it is we're seeing in Ukraine, not everything is as universal a lesson for a global power like the United States that will have to fight everywhere from the Middle East to Asia to Europe.

From your standpoint, what are the most trenchant lessons of Ukraine that we ought to be paying a lot closer attention to?

Clinton watches the returns from a hotel suite in the city.

Her campaign chairman, John Podesta, tells the crowd under the glass that the race is too close to call, and that they'll have no more to say that night.

Clinton calls the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, to concede early Wednesday, and she speaks to her supporters that morning at the New Yorker Hotel.

She loses Michigan by ten thousand votes, Wisconsin by twenty-two thousand, and Pennsylvania by forty-four thousand, less than a point in each state.

Bill Clinton agrees to all of it, and Lindsey signs the agreement on Friday morning.

Obama's second call that afternoon reaches Biden at the dentist's office.

Biden tells Obama what he told Fox News during his own campaign for the nomination, that he'd rather stay chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee than be vice president.

Then he offers to campaign for the ticket in Ohio and in Pennsylvania, where he was born.

Now all of a sudden Fox is credible now that they've joined against the America First coalition against President Trump.

Well, I'm not gonna get ahead of, uh, Todd Blanche on this or Secretary Mullen, but we know this investigation was ongoing for a while.

There was a warrant executed this morning.

Uh, so I'll leave it at that.

Uh, the specifics of the investigation, I think I need to get, uh, turn that over to Todd Blanche or Mike Mullen.
