Mark KabolyHOST
2:02
You, you, you stole that from Jim Lampley circa, like, phoo, early ni- I mean, some time in the '90s when George Foreman knocked out Michael Moorer.
Mark KabolyHOST
2:11
"It happened! It happened!"
Noah StrackbeinHOST
2:14
[laughs] That's awesome.
Ray FittipaldoHOST
2:29

Mark KabolyHOST

...
Mark KabolyHOST
2:29
I worked at Little Caesars in Belle Vernon, and he came in one time and I was excited to see Michael Moorer, and he gave me an autograph and he spelled heavyweight wrong.
Noah StrackbeinHOST
2:38
[laughs] That's awesome.
Steve CovinoHOST
6:45
Speaking of, now let's see.
Steve CovinoHOST
6:46
Foreman knocked out Michael Moore, and then he lost to Evander Holyfield, so it never happened.
Steve CovinoHOST
6:51
Yeah, so yeah, good one.
Steve CovinoHOST
6:53
So matchups, we never got.
Teofimo LopezGUEST
54:19
Mm-hmm.
Teofimo LopezGUEST
54:19
I think he, like, dropped Michael Moore, stopped him and stuff.
Teofimo LopezGUEST
54:23
He dropped
Jeremy PivenHOST
54:23
Michael Moore.
Jeremy PivenHOST
54:24
I got a call from him one time, from George Foreman.
Jeremy PivenHOST
54:26
I was like, George, why is George Foreman calling me? What's up, George? He goes, I got to ask you a question.
Rich ShertenliebHOST
6:19
But I'm going to just say they're playing the Yankees.
Rich ShertenliebHOST
6:20
That's like Michael Moore and the big man.
Rich ShertenliebHOST
6:22
What's his name? George Foreman.
Rich ShertenliebHOST
6:24
Oh, yeah, sure.
JoshHOST
39:47
Oh, yeah.
JoshHOST
39:48
Like, that's probably non-canon, yeah? We're losing to Michael Moore, period.
JoshHOST
39:54
Like, everyone has their non-canon performances.
JoshHOST
39:59
So I don't...
SeanHOST
9:09
These two guys way, way past their primes, but were gonna fight in 1999.
SeanHOST
9:14
I suppose the most realistic time probably would've been the early '90s when both the contenders were past 40 years old, and Larry Holmes was, was still fighting, and George Foreman obviously was on that trail where he started to have the fights with the likes of Evander Holyfield and Tommy Morrison before his eventual 1994 win over Michael Moorer.
JohnstonHOST
9:33
Yeah, I think that would've probably been, made sense.
JohnstonHOST
9:35
I mean, Larry Holmes g- got to get sort of pulled out of retirement from Don King didn't he, to fight Tyson.

43 MINS LATER

JohnstonHOST
52:42
But I think because he sort of led his own career in that second, second side of his career, I think that is probably the reason.
JohnstonHOST
52:48
But the fight, I mean, the fight could've happened after the Douglas defeat in 1990, but Foreman was sensible and he waited to face Holyfield after he beat Douglas, uh, uh, in a year, in later that year.
JohnstonHOST
52:59
They could've fought in 1991 after Foreman lost to Holyfield, or in the summer of 1995 when Foreman become the unified heavyweight champion when he knocked out Michael Moorer, and Tyson was released from prison at that time.
JohnstonHOST
53:12
Now, however, Foreman did not want to work with Don King, and the WBA stripped him of his title, as, uh, did the IBF in his, in his next fight as well.
