Even back, I was a fucking teenager, and I knew that was a shitty fucking album.

I played it, you know, a couple times, like, oh, fuck this shit.

That fucking, uh, Michael Monroe's, like, Dead, Jail, or Rock and Roll, thousand times better than this fucking Hanoi Rocks fucking book.

Oh, I hated that song.

So after you finished with the dolls, what'd you do?

yeah so towards the end uh things started kind of slowing down for us work-wise and the bass player we had with us uh sammy yaffa uh had been a member of this band hanoi rocks with michael monroe uh who's the lead singer and michael was starting up his uh his own band again and sammy said hey steve you want to come in and check this out and i was like yeah well we need i need some work i just had a baby and my wife had uh we had our first son and um i needed work so i went and i was trying to do both i tried to do michael monroe band and new york dolls at the same time and eventually the two schedules just collided and i couldn't do both so um i had to make a choice and uh i chose to go with michael and i've been here with him now for 17 years All of these things have turned into long-term gigs, huh? Well, you know what? I mean, I've never had such long-term gigs in my life.

I played with Blood, Sweat & Tears for two years.

I played with Billy Squire for one tour, Willie DeVille for one tour.

This is for a company called 12-Inch Media.

They're in Scotland, actually.

I got the recommendation from the management of Michael Monroe Band, who I've been working with.

And it's a friend of his, a guy named Dave, whose last name escapes me.

And it's going to be a fun show with Steve Arino.

And our buddy Frank Ferrer is now playing with Michael Monroe.

So that's kind of cool, you know.

Maybe you don't know much about them.

This singer, Michael Monroe, was a tall, crazy blonde-haired guy.

Like a freakish Marilyn Monroe.

I don't mean that the bad way.

Like when Axl has his hair very spiked up in the Welcome to the Jungle video, like that's a very Hanoi Rocks influence.

So even though they're from Finland, they kind of became part of that LA scene.

And they had Michael Monroe, we just mentioned on vocals, but also played saxophone.

I know, it's so weird.

But in a way, what you're describing, the movie Wish Onslaught would be, sounds a lot like The Guest, which was like, what if Michael Myers was a super spy or something? And Dan Stevens was the kind of stalker villain and Michael Monroe was, you know, was trying to escape.

And it was, you know, not a big budget movie, very slimmed down, you know, action thriller uh which definitely calling card for wingard but um i it i thought that this was going to be that but a little bigger um and maybe more grindhousey or like is this the movie that we have some bear would have made if if they had been invited to the grindhouse tarantino robert rigas party um but
