yeah so towards the end uh things started kind of slowing down for us work-wise and the bass player we had with us uh sammy yaffa uh had been a member of this band hanoi rocks with michael monroe uh who's the lead singer and michael was starting up his uh his own band again and sammy said hey steve you want to come in and check this out and i was like yeah well we need i need some work i just had a baby and my wife had uh we had our first son and um i needed work so i went and i was trying to do both i tried to do michael monroe band and new york dolls at the same time and eventually the two schedules just collided and i couldn't do both so um i had to make a choice and uh i chose to go with michael and i've been here with him now for 17 years All of these things have turned into long-term gigs, huh?
