Michael Lark

Frank Miller and Davis Mazzuchelli is just a work of brilliance.

And then the thing that I think makes the universe... or one of the things that just absolutely makes the universe itself so special is, uh, Edgar Baker, Greg Rucka, and Michael Lark, Gotham central, which is

one of the best comics ever.

Right.

There's a murderer using the collapse of Gotham as a means to extract their revenge on some Arkham shenanigans.

This is as entertaining as you would expect it to be from this creative team and the, the legacy of this series from the Greg Rucka, Michael Lark book.

Um, it, it, it scratched an itch I didn't know I had.

Mm-hmm.

It doesn't count.

Then again, you know, like Sean Phillips and Michael Lark are kind of from the same school, and they worked with the same guys, and-

We're talking about Ed Brubacher's run, The Devil in Cell Block D.

And so it's Daredevil Volume 2, Issues 82 through 87.

This is the beginning of Brubacher's run, coming off right on the heels of Brian Michael Bendis.

We should do that

at some point.

Michael Lark does the pencils for this Daredevil run.

His Wikipedia page is pretty thin, so I don't have a lot of insider info on him, other than he's done a lot of work for both Marvel and DC.

The last arc of that His run is called Super Patriot, and it fucking stinks.

But yeah, this is written by Ed Brubaker, art by Steve Epting, Michael Lark, and John Paul Leone, inked by Mike Perkins, colors by Frank D'Armato, lettered by Randy Gentil, Chris Heliopoulos, and Joe Caramanga.

We also get Lee Weeks on pencils, Jesse Delperdang on inks, and Matt Mia on colors for issue 10.

I only bring this up separately because this issue is an outlier in the story, and it's a tie-in.

Lark, who appears in the book we're talking about today, who also goes on with him to work on Daredevil for Marvel.
