I mean, Mike Kofman from the Carnegie Endowment has written a long piece on Russian force employment where he basically argues that despite growing the force, the Russians haven't been able to efficiently bring more firepower to bear.

And so, um, you know, the Russians are, number one, running up against it a bit in terms of contracting out, um, new soldiers.

And two, this is the Ukrainian theory of victory, which is to put political pressure on Putin and to force him into painful mobilization decisions.
