Michael Keating

You're obviously far cleverer than that,

right? That would have been a better scene if Michael Keating wasn't trying to play it for laughs.

Again, back to the tone of the episode.

And Stephen Pace is playing it very, very seriously.

And it's a shame because that exchange between Villa and Tara, the what's the point anymore, Michael Keating does play it really straight.

Yes, he

does.

It's just that, for whatever reason, he's decided not to.

I suspect Poor Villa hasn't been written particularly well either, but Michael Keating has somehow managed to find the humour and find those quirks.

It's the chemistry between him and Avon that really ignites the screen when they're together, whereas you don't get any kind of chemistry between Gan and virtually anybody in the same way that the other

characters

So Chris Boucher added that scene in.

And of course, Villa just plays it perfectly.

And I think it may even have been Michael Keating's idea, which is, why don't I lie with my shoes off, my shoe off? And so they worked with that with him as well.

So what happened next?

There we go.

Michael Keating.

Paul Darrow.

Yeah, true.
