A couple of Brentford options for you.
Dom CroftsHOST
23:00
Michael Coyote and Christopher Aya.
Dom CroftsHOST
23:03
Coyote hit Defcon against Hull.
Dom CroftsHOST
23:05
He's got 1.3 expected goal involvements for the season as well and has scored for the club this season.
Dom CroftsHOST
23:11
Brentford have conceded more than one expected goal in just one of their four home games and they're taking on a Nottingham Forest side this weekend who are the lowest scorers in the league so if you are going to back a team to keep a clean sheet this weekend you could do a lot worse than back brentford and christopher ayah is another option and another route into their back line he's got three defcon returns and had three near miss defcon returns over the course of the season so far those three near misses were all by one defensive contribution hit the nine tally and just missed out on the 10 threshold tally, which would have given him those extra points.
Luke DelaneyHOST
9:36
Did you almost sense before the game that this Liverpool side were there for the taking? And did you almost expect Brentford to at least get a point from the game?
Alan JudgeGUEST
9:44
I think so when I spoke to a few people there at Brentford they were like we're actually the favourites which they were Brentford were put down as the favourites to win that game and going off the first 45 minutes without before setting off Brentford were the better team they looked like the team that were going to go on and score a second goal and the likes of Barcola was being dominated by Coyote and right back and Verts actually played pretty well in the first half he was creating a lot of chances but there were still times where you could see Areola's pressing wasn't to where he wanted as Brentford were able to get out from the back and break the lines Brentford were very good value for being in the lead they could have went on to have a second but then obviously the sending off happened and Liverpool got into the game after the second half
Luke DelaneyHOST
10:32
It was such a stupid red card on the stroke of half time from Yarmuluk.
Luke DelaneyHOST
10:38
If you were his teammate and following the game, seeing that you lost 2-1, especially when you maybe sensed Liverpool were there to take him, would you be fuming with him? Would there be words had in the changing room? It
Alan JudgeGUEST
13:29
So that's the worrying fact for me.
Alan JudgeGUEST
13:31
And the other one was, he's quick, he's strong.
Alan JudgeGUEST
13:34
He didn't run at Coyote once.
Alan JudgeGUEST
13:35
He kept coming inside.
MikeHOST
5:30
I know.
MikeHOST
5:31
But I did think in that first half, Dango and Coyote were combining quite well down the right-hand side.
MikeHOST
5:37
And Dango, we spoke about in the last episode, he's been a bit of a touchpoint amongst Brentford fans this season.
MikeHOST
5:43
He only had 45 minutes because of the red card, and we're going to get to that shortly.
DanHOST
6:18
I don't think we would have made any changes.
DanHOST
6:20
And I thought, yeah, he linked up with Thiago.
DanHOST
6:23
He did decently as well, as well as with Coyote.
DanHOST
6:28
So getting back there, you could, tell, you know, he's not at his free-flowing best.
TomHOST
30:07
And he's got the physical defensive attributes of an Arujo.
TomHOST
30:13
I think Coyote would be a perfect player to come into this Liverpool squad, bring more athleticism, bring more aggression in there as well.
TomHOST
30:23
So I know it's a long way from the January transfer window, but if there's one player Liverpool could pinch from that Brentford team, other than Keller, who I would still have, it would definitely be Coyote.
TomHOST
30:35
So a good win for Liverpool.
TomHOST
30:37
I think it was a massive win after the Man City defeat in the Premier League.
Dave DavisHOST
16:22
This is gonna be a really tough contest.
Dave DavisHOST
16:26
And we mentioned before, set pieces a little bit and Michael Kayode, what he brings.
Dave DavisHOST
16:30
Don't forget, Liverpool scored one, big Ron, but not in the Premier League.
Dave DavisHOST
16:35
So we haven't con- scored one, we haven't conceded one in the Premier League.
Dave DavisHOST
17:01
They're joint third.
Dave DavisHOST
17:02
Yeah? Their XG created is four, they're top for that.
Dave DavisHOST
17:06
Yeah? 25% of Brentford's goals have come from set pieces, and you know Michael Kayode.
Dave DavisHOST
17:14
Yeah? This is not going to be an easy game by any means.
Guy DrinkellHOST
4:19
Go through it quite quickly here.
Guy DrinkellHOST
4:20
Kelleher in goal, Kayode, Van de, uh, was gonna call him Van de Ven there, Van den Berg, Ajer, Lewis-Potter, Jarmaluk, Janelt, uh, Jayden Anthony, Jensen, Oyarzaraz, and Thiago.
Guy DrinkellHOST
4:31
Obviously missing a few players there, m- most notably probably at the back and in, um, in attack with Schade, who, I think he's just come back from an injury, that's why he was on the bench, wasn't he? Um, so yeah, I mean, yous obviously went through it on Scout.
Guy DrinkellHOST
4:45
Is this more or less the team you expected, or do you maybe think Sangare in for a bit more legs compared to the other three?
ChrisPANELIST
7:24
Forget his finishing, because that wasn't great.
ChrisPANELIST
7:27
There was a little bit of Sadio Mane about him, because he gave Coyote a fucking going over, and he made Coyote defend, and made Coyote work his arse off.
ChrisPANELIST
7:35
And listen, Coyote is a good right back.
ChrisPANELIST
7:38
I mean, I was advocating in the pre-match that maybe he swapped Munoz to that side, because he'll probably enjoy the fight a bit more.
ChrisPANELIST
7:45
But to be fair, he really gave Coyote a going over, and that's a sign of, yeah, he can work at this, he can adapt to this league, because...

7:54
you
ChrisPANELIST
7:54
know, that's not an easy fallback to do.
Ste HoareHOST
16:32
Yeah, like you said, you can't really give anything away against Brentford, especially at home when they're at home.
Ste HoareHOST
16:37
'Cause Damsgaard, Kayode, they'll...
Ste HoareHOST
16:39
Anywhere on the pitch where they can put a ball into the box, it's a danger.
Dan ClubbeHOST
16:44
Going in.
Dan ClubbeHOST
16:55
Maybe we drew 3-3.
Dan ClubbeHOST
16:56
Anyway, my mind's gone blank on the actual result, but I remember we conceded a set piece having had two set piece goals disallowed against us, and it was like, well, it's, it's going to happen, you know what I mean? That's how dangerous they were.
Dan ClubbeHOST
17:08
But Kayode's throw in has to be the best in the business right now.
Dan ClubbeHOST
17:11
Because it's not just the distance, it's the trajectory, and it's the pace it comes in at.
Rian MullaleyGUEST
9:00
But the toughest part for us is a lot of the time we have to focus on replacing players who we lose before we can look at, okay, where can we improve? Whereas this summer was sort of an exception with that.
Rian MullaleyGUEST
9:13
I think in past summers, we've always lost key players, whereas I think it was February, March time, we got Igor Thiago on a new contract, start of the window, Michael Kayode, who a lot thought might go to a big six club, again, a new contract there.
Hari SethiHOST
9:26
Yeah.
Rian MullaleyGUEST
9:26
So it allowed us to sort of go into the transfer window knowing we can focus purely on what we need to improve on the squad we have-
Jimmy CarrHOST
6:59
Um, I think it's tough for me because I think when you look at the, the 11 that Brentford traditionally play, obviously right back they have to...
Jimmy CarrHOST
7:08
they have Kayode.
Jimmy CarrHOST
7:09
He's a really good right back-
Joe SymesGUEST
7:10
Yeah

13 MINS LATER

Jimmy CarrHOST
20:17
So-
Joe SymesGUEST
20:17
Oh, 'cause they're playing Dujmovic left back, aren't they?
Jimmy CarrHOST
20:18
So their, their previous 11 against Villa was Kelleher, Kayode, Dujmovic, Ajer, Schuster, don't know who he is.
Jimmy CarrHOST
20:24
Uh, Jannik Schuster.
